When discussing Hong Kong’s fundraising landscape for green tech and green finance, Jason shared: “Hong Kong is big and small at the same time. Its capital and fundraising markets are ’big‘—with deep pools of investors from private equity, venture capital, and a vibrant secondary market. MioTech itself has raised five of its six funding rounds here. Yet, the commercial market is relevantly ’small‘. For any startup, whether in green finance, technologies or in other field—it’s essential to look beyond Hong Kong and leverage it as a steppingstone to access a much larger total addressable market.”

On the application of AI in green finance, technology, and climate tech, he emphasized that while AI is powerful, the focus must be on high-impact, large-scale use cases with big enough total addressable market—not just niche creative ideas.
