MioTech was founded by Jason and Tao through coffee chats at Coupa Cafe in downtown Palo Alto where they brainstormed startup ideas to bridge finance and technology. They identified artificial intelligence, financial data, and sustainability as the three core pillars of their startup, and have since then built MioTech to achieve their dreams.

Jason Tu
Co-founder, CEO
Jianyu (Jason) is the Co-Founder and CEO of MioTech. Jason’s career spans across banking and tech startups around the globe. He kicked off his career at Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong, and has since then worked at a number of startups such as WeLab and Robinhood in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and the U.S. Jason holds an MBA degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business, master’s degree from Toulouse School of Economics in France, and bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.
Tao Liu
Co-founder, CTO
Tao is the Co-founder and CTO of MioTech, overseeing engineering and product. Prior to founding Miotech, Tao spent over 5 years working on distributed database and large data infrastructure technologies. He rewrote DMP Query solution at Turn Inc. which processes over 30TB data per day, and implemented the Oracle 12c PDB infrastructure at Oracle. Tao holds a master's degree in computer science from Cornell University.
